Father Roland M. LaPlante Retirement Reception

On June 27, 2010 - we gathered together in celebration of Father LaPlante's 48 years of dedication and service, and to wish him a blessed retirement.  As well as dedicating the new Reverend Roland M. LaPlante Gymnasium, we were treated to a concert of beautiful music performed by Larry Schipull and Grant Moss.  Thank you to all who came out to join us for this special event, to the generous parishioner donations, and to the volunteers and staff that helped coordinate it.  God Bless you Father LaPlante!

CATHOLIC YOUTH SPECTACULAR

Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Holy Angels Religious Education students in grades 7 - 10 will spend the day with youth from other parishes and Archbishop Henry J. Mansell at the Archdiocesan Center in Bloomfield as they are "Empowered by the Spririt".  Click here for more information about this event.

PARISH GOLF TOURNAMENT

Friday, September 24, 2010, registration at 11:30 a.m.

Holy Angels tenth annual golf tournament will be held at Hunter's Memorial Golf Course. Please review the following cover letter for information about becoming a sponsor.  You may also print a Golf Tournament Sponsorship Donation Form or Player Registration Form. Join us for a wonderful afternoon of golf, food and fun while making our major fundraiser a great success!

RESPECT LIFE CONFERENCE
Saturday, October 30, 2010, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Parish Center.

Our Pro-Life Outreach Ministry's 11th annual state-wide Respect Life Conference will include hospitality, guest speakers, workshops, mass, lunch and exhibits.  A registration fee of $15 per person will be collected.  Greater details will follow.

December Events

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Sunday, December 5, 2010 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit our Religious Education program.  A full breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, orange juice and warm beverages will be served.  Last year, we sold 260 tickets - let's make this year's event a great success as well!

LOVE SUNDAY

Sunday, February 13, 2010 beginning with 8:30 a.m. Mass

We will celebrate our 16th annual Love Sunday with refreshments provided by the Parish Council Hospitality Committee immediatly following Mass. Grade K-5 student work will be available for viewing in the Parish Center.

Night Prayer:  Monday and Tuesday evenings, 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Chapel.

BJ's has a special membership offer just for Holy Angels family and friends.  To renew your existing membership or join for the first time during the months of MAY or NOVEMBER, simply complete an application and BJ's will donate $5 of your membership fee to Holy Angels!  (Please note:  You can participate in this fundraiser regardless of your membership expiration.  If you sign / re-sign up during MAY or NOVEMBER Holy Angels receives the donation and your membership is extended from its existing expiration.  It's a simple way to give!)

HARVEST DINNER - Sunday, November 1, 2009 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

A Roast Pork Dinner with all the trimmings made for a terrific Autumn event!  Over 250 meals were served!  Many brought their family for a hearty meal!

CHRISTMAS ON THE HILL - Saturday, November 28, 2009

9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Crafters, Bake Sale, Food Court, Raffle, Children's Corner, Santa visit and more!  The gymnasium was filled with crafters of all types, the food was delicious, the raffle baskets were thematic and full!  The children's corner was active throughout the day and Santa's visit was a lot of fun!  We'll see you all again next year!  Merry Christmas!

STATIONS OF THE CROSS - CITYWIDE

Fridays at 7:00 p.m. beginning February 19, 2010 at Saint Laurent

Stations of the Cross have taken place at a different Meriden church weekly for six weeks throughout the Lenten season.  Holy Angels Parish was the host on the second Friday of Lent, February 26th at 7:00 p.m.  Many traveled throughout the city of Meriden, joining their brothers and sisters in this Lenten devotion.
